From one classroom to two centres
I’ve spent 26 years in early childhood education — long before I ever opened a school of my own. I trained and worked alongside some of the best educators in the field, learning what actually helps a young child thrive, not just what looks good on paper.
Then I became a mother myself. And suddenly I was asking the same question every parent asks: where do I trust my child?
That question is what led me to open a small, cozy school — deliberately small, because I wanted every child to be known, not just enrolled. It grew, term by term, family by family, because parents trusted us enough to tell other parents.
Today, Lighthouse is bigger — but it still runs on that same belief. Every child deserves to be seen, challenged, and loved, in equal measure. That’s not a tagline to me. It’s the reason I do this.
